Cluj-Napoca: Sofia Zadar- Haustorium: Lansare Single & Drag Show

Haustorium, the first single from Sofia Zadar’s debut LP (due in 2025), is being released this April 25th. The song and video tell the story of resource redistribution and companionship through a dystopian world, of how we feed ourselves and our communities by locating and reclaiming excess. It speaks of nourishment, parasitic relationships and erotic desire as fuel in navigating the grievances of the present moment. 

The line-up 

Sofia Zadar presents an extended live set comprising past jams as well as demo versions of tracks from the future LP, meant to thrill, soothe and inspire. Sofia Zadar’s experimental pop compositions construct emancipatory futures, while mixing together spoken word, complex vocal harmonies, organic textures and highly processed electronic sonic structures. Their aesthetic is rooted in the desires of local queer communities, while lyrically exploring posthumanist and utopian visions through a trauma-informed lens. 

Aphrodite Heaven: The succubus of Bucharest’s drag scene is once again back to rip your souls alive. When she’s performing, you got to take a step back to admire it all. She’s Aphrodite and you will soon understand why mythology hated to love her.

Nefertiddy Heaven: an icon of the Romanian drag scene, known for her ghoul-like aesthetic. With captivating stage presence she bewitches audiences with every performance, transcending the ordinary and leaving a lasting impression on all.

Toiboy: urban seraph and private dancer, a prince aware that his masculinity must be bent, deconstructed and used in service of his communities. When he’s not taking a political stand or exploring the dark depths of grief & angst, he’ll just be stripping around for your pleasure.
